Here are the reasons why we are not ready to host the 2026 World Cup:

⚽️We don’t have the best airports in the world - Seattle is best 🇺🇸 at #23 
⚽️Fans from many countries have to wait more than 500 days to get a visa - we have 460 days left to go to the start of the tournament
⚽️Our infrastructure is too car-reliant with few cities having adequate public transit
⚽️TSA agents are about to be forced out of their jobs, hampering airport security and wait times
⚽️We only allow visa-free travel from 43 countries 
⚽️Several host cities won’t have enough hotel rooms for the expected wave of fans 

These are just some of the problems identified by the @ustravel_association and other top travel executives. The recent WH Executive Order establishing the Task Force to Prepare for 2026 is a step, but with Trump and Vance leading the task force as chairs doesn’t inspire confidence. #mundial2026 #2026worldcup #weare26 #somos262
