Sometimes it's fun to look back.. 

2007 - I created a drawing of Sidney Crosby as part of a high school art project, driven by my passion for the sport. He was one of my favorite players at the time, and I ended up selling that artwork for $25 on eBay. I still recall the buyer's message: "I hope to see you draw more Pens in the future." I would love to see that original piece again.

Fast forward to 2020 - this was my fourth hockey portrait after deciding to pursue art as a career instead of physiotherapy. Just two months prior, I had been focused solely on drawing pets, cars, and houses. The enthusiasm my hockey portraits generated inspired me to change my direction, leading me to create six more player portraits in the following three months.

Now in 2025 - I had produced what feels like hundreds of professional artworks for fans, players, teams, and family. With my schedule often packed, I rarely find time to create what I truly want (not complaining - this is a blessing). However, I recently had three weeks free, so feeling wiser, more patient, and reminiscent, I decided to draw Sid once more. I truly believe in letting passion guide your way.
