Yup you read that right, followers mean nothing.. in front of community! 

I can already hear it “Amal what? What do you mean? Isn’t it the more followers the better?” Let’s break it down together. 

Followers are people that see your content but don’t engage or take action. Community are people that actively engage with your content and are loyal to your brand. There’s a strong connection and they are a group that trusts you and your content.

You can have all the followers in the world but if they don’t interact with your content or profile they mean nothing and do nothing for your brand/business. Whereas community will always come back and push your brand and sales! 📲 

Think about it this way: If an account has 1,000 followers but has no comments, no likes, and no interactions it’s useless. If an account has 500 followers but gets interactions like 10 comments, 10 shares, 2.5k views, and 6.1% increase in organic reach - this will boost your brand and content exponentially. 

🔑 Takeaway: Followers can be bought (please never do this). Community is earned.
