Technically I’ve competed in two meets since the CIF outdoor season started here in California, but today felt like my real season opener following last weekend’s indoor nationals. I managed to get a big PR in the hurdles even though my knee crashed into the 1st hurdle, turning me sideways heading into the 2nd hurdle.😫 I ran 14.33, but know I can run sub-14 if I run a clean race! I earned a season PR of 20’00” in long jump off my first and only attempt. I competed in the 200 and triple jump for the first time this season. I opened at 23.91 and 39’9.5”. Heading into today these marks are early season CA #2 (hurdles) and CA #1 (long jump, triple jump, 200m). I’m really starting to get excited about what might be possible this season!!😊
