LaVada V. English '02 is one of our five Honorees for this year’s Women Who Lead Forum (WWLF). She is a Philadelphia native and an inspiring educator who firmly believes in humanity's boundless potential. As the visionary founder and CEO of Bright Places, Inc., a prominent strategic coaching firm specializing in leadership development and team synergy, LaVada has been impacIul in her career spanning over two decades. 

A certified "Intercultural Capacity" coach, LaVada has influenced decision-makers' mindsets in the private, corporate, and government sectors. Her exceptional accomplishments have earned her recognition as a nominee for the Los Angeles Business Journal Women's Summit and a 2023 National Association of Women’s Business Owners California Business of the Year nominee.

LaVada is the current president of the National Association of Women Business Owners California Board (NAWBO-CA) Board of Directors. She has released her first children’s book “Kyla Believes“, a journey into the limitless potential of a child and is working on her second book titled, “The Proactive Team: Leading Teams to Think Beyond the Task”. LaVada will be giving a TED Talk during the WWLF event.
