#WomensHistoryMonth: Jasmine Wilson-Bryant is a first-generation college graduate dedicated to service, advocacy and leadership. A native of Grenada, Mississippi, she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Jackson State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in geriatric mental health. 

Wilson-Bryant has built a career supporting veterans, older adults and individuals experiencing homelessness. She serves as a senior social worker at the Department of Veterans Affairs, providing critical support to aging veterans. 

Her commitment to service extends beyond clinical work. She was deployed twice through the Veterans Affairs Disaster Emergency Medical Personnel System, assisting communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. While working for the District of Columbia’s Department of Aging and Community Living, she launched The Life Changes Grief Project to expand geriatric mental health services, earning the agency’s Innovation Award.

Wilson-Bryant is also a mentor and advocate for first-generation college students, serving as a National TRIO Alumni Council delegate. She continues her commitment to aging services as a board member of the Aged Women’s Home of Georgetown, ensuring elderly women in need receive quality care. #JSUAlums
