🌊 Meet Brigitta Maria Andrea Gunawan, our 2025 True Blue Fellow, and her project, DiverSeas! 🌊

Diverseas is an open-source asset for tech-enabled ocean literacy, building a network of ocean learners turned advocates. Through in-person workshops, immersive 360° VR stories, and online resources, Brigitta and her team are bringing marine conservation to life. As an extension of the award-winning 30x30 Indonesia, DiverSeas creates hands-on opportunities for young people to engage with marine protected areas and understand their role in ocean stewardship.

With a lack of representation in ocean-related careers and mainstream education, DiverSeas is closing the gap by making ocean literacy more accessible and inclusive. By connecting young minds with conservation experts and showcasing real-world opportunities, the project fosters a future where diverse voices shape ocean advocacy. Join Brigitta and her team as they build a network of 500 Community Builders by 2030, working toward a healthier, more sustainable ocean for all! 🌏

The Bow Seat’s True Blue Fellowship empowers youth worldwide to use the creative arts as a tool for change in their communities, addressing ocean, waterways, and climate challenges. Originally created and led by the Future Blue Youth Council (FBYC), this initiative provides mentorship, capacity building, and up to $2,500 in funding for 10 youth-led projects each year.
