☕️ Day 11 of trying to make latte art like a professional at home features coffee from @muvucacoffee!

Muvuca coffee reached out about sending me a bag of their Brazilian beans to try, and I was super excited to use their dark roast in some recipes! But in terms of the latte art, I had a much better tilt of my cup in the final stage of pouring, so will still be working on that in the future. 

Personally, I found their “Trem das Onze” to have the perfect balance of dark chocolate, nuttiness, all without being overly acidic, and decided on making a panela latte with them. 

Panela is unrefined sugar cane juice that is processed down to a solid sugar, and has a more molasses sweet flavor than brown or turbinado sugar. It’s a common ingredient in South America, and it paired amazingly with the Muvuca beans. 

You can find panela in most Latin American grocery stores (sometimes called piloncillo) and you can melt it down with some water to make a simple syrup with it to replicate this latte. And thanks to Muvuca for sending over their coffee - it’s a great choice for low acidity, dark roasts for espresso drinks in my opinion.
