Philippians 4:6 says “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”⁣

As someone who deals with anxiety from time to time, my first thoughts usually go through every possible outcome of the problem at hand — not to prayer. I’m human, and although I know what the right move is, I don’t always act on it.⁣

Worry-first and prayer-second is just not how we’re made to operate.⁣
⁣
This verse reminds us that our first response, to any given scenario, should always be prayer — for thankfulness & whatever we need from God. ⁣
⁣
Anxious over student loans coming back? Pray it out.⁣
⁣
Scared of what’s to come in our world? Pray it out.⁣
⁣
Worried you’ll never kick that bad habit? Pray it out.⁣
⁣
Fearful of what your future looks like? Pray it out.⁣
⁣
The God who reigns above it all wants your tired, stressed-out heart. He wants your praise & thankfulness. He wants to walk alongside you through the highs and lows of it all.⁣
