After seeing these giant nutcrackers last year we had to give them a try. It’s helpful to have two sets of hands when building. 

Supplies for one nutcracker below:
5 feet 2x4 to make 4 10in pieces and scrap for arms 
4 10 inches pieces of 2x4
1 12 inch round 
1 18 in round 
1 48x 12 concrete tube 
2 2ft 3in PVC pipe with 4 3in PVC caps
2 4 feet 4in PVC pipe
