Meet our Education Vice President, Maddy Huovinen!

Maddy is a 3rd year Sociology major from Ventura. She oversees our chapters largest department, which includes our scholastic programs, new member educator, personal and chapter enrichment program, ritual activities, as well as sisterhood activities.  Maddy also served as the Sunshine Chairwoman and Sisterhood Chairwoman. 

“I joined Gamma Phi Beta because I was looking for a place to call my home away from home and an environment where I could be the best possible version of myself. Going into recruitment I wasn’t 100% sure that I would go through with the process until I walked into GPHIs room. As soon as I walked in, I was surrounded by so many amazing and accomplished women that I wanted to be around and I knew right away that this was the place for me. I was drawn to Gamma Phi Betas values love, labor, learning, and loyalty that I personally resonate with as well as our philanthropy “Girls on the Run” which empowers and inspires young girls. Gamma Phi Beta has introduced me to my best friends that I know I’ll have an everlasting friendship with and my amazing big sister and little ones that I happily get to call my soul sisters. I am so grateful for Delta Lambda for making me the person I am today. As well as, introducing me to so many amazing, strong, and beautiful women who always uplift me and have made GPHI my home away from home.”

We are lucky and thankful to have Maddy as EVP and are so proud of her accomplishments!💐
