## Caption

Prime Minister Andrew Holness declares Jamaica is the safest it’s been in 20 years, citing a significant reduction in crime since the beginning of the year during his budget presentation. 

The PM says the country has seen a sustained decline in murders since the ending of 2024 and in February, experienced the lowest recorded monthly number of 47 murders in 25 years, a 43% reduction compared to February 2024.
