The 1979 Geneva Motor Show Ferrari 512 BB 🇮🇹 

Feast your eyes on a Ferrari straight from the golden age of excess—a 1979 512 Berlinetta Boxer, prepared by the factory as the Geneva Motor Show car. This Rosso Chiaro beauty, trimmed in beige leather, was delivered through AutoDino AG of Zurich to Fratelli Rigatto Import/Export in Brooklyn. According to Ferrari Classiche records, it landed in the U.S. on April 17, 1979, via JFK Airport, imported by J.P. Fleisig. Nastase Racing of New York took first ownership, followed by Nelkin Racing, before Al Mohr acquired it in May 1982. Later that year, it passed to Mr. Bavor, who kept it in pristine condition, tracking every mile from 1982 onward. By the time he sold it in 2011, it had just 20,345 kilometers (12,642 miles) on the clock and had undergone a meticulous $25,000 engine-out refresh.

A true time capsule, this Ferrari was obsessively maintained by its perfectionist owner of 29 years. Imported to the UK and registered as ‘SUI 6716,’ it has since been housed in a climate-controlled glass display garage as part of a static collection. In June 2022, it underwent a full inspection, fresh tyres, and an engine-out service, including a cam belt change, at a cost of £8,280. With just 21,529 kilometers on the odometer, this Geneva Motor Show Berlinetta Boxer remains an exceptionally original, well-documented masterpiece, deserving of close attention.
