The dogs are out of the NCAA Tournament, at least for now.

For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the drakembb team is headed to the NCAA Tournament without their mascot, Griff II, a six-year-old English Bulldog.

NCAA rules prohibit live animals from being present during tournament games.

Last Sunday, after Drake was announced as the No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament, one fan started an online petition calling for Griff II and other live mascots to be present in the early rounds of the tournament.
