‘The Outlaw’ | A Rare Frazer Nash-BMW 319 🗝️

A rebel among classics, ‘The Outlaw’ is one of just 26 Type 319 open two-seaters imported into the UK. Delivered to Frazer Nash in Isleworth on July 3rd, 1935, this right-hand-drive Cabriolet remained unregistered until March 30th, 1940, when it received its now-iconic plate, ‘LMF 37.’ For decades, it tore through trials, hill climbs, and driving tests with the Vintage Sports Car Club. After changing hands in the early 1960s, long-term owner J.G. Shaw undertook a restoration, but it wasn’t until later custodians commissioned Jonathan Rose to craft a stunning new aluminum body—merging BMW 328 and 319 styling—that ‘The Outlaw’ was fully reborn.

Mechanical precision followed suit, with specialists rebuilding the engine, overhauling the gearbox and suspension, and reworking the electrics for peak performance. Post-restoration, this Frazer Nash-BMW made its mark at VSCC events, Brooklands, and Prescott, while benefiting from ongoing refinements, including an engine top-end rebuild and a striking black respray. With antique leather upholstery, Wilton carpets, and a meticulous restoration documented in photographs and marque correspondence, ‘The Outlaw’ is a machine meant to be seen, driven, and admired. A rare opportunity to own a legend—viewing is highly recommended.
