⛽ Rest stop appreciation post! ⛽

If you’ve ever embarked on a road trip, you know that sometimes it’s more about the journey than the destination. And on that journey, a good rest stop can be a little slice of heaven on the highway. That’s why we’re kicking off our #SummerOfRestStops series — celebrating the incredible architecture, unexpected amenities, and top-notch treats that can be found on the road at our favorite out-of-the-ordinary rest stops. 

First stop: @7Eleven. We’d be remiss if we didn’t wish the “OG To-Go” chain a happy birthday, and highlight a Dallas, Texas location that’s quite literally dialed up to 11. It’s a pit-stop paradise with house-made flour tortillas tacos from local @LaredoTacoCo, a breezy midcentury-style patio, a cigar humidor, and even a giant @slurpee on top. (No, you can’t get that one for free today — we checked.) 🥤

Slurpees are only the beginning of the beverage options. For those just passing through, the store offers experimental drinks like horchata lattes, coffees with cold foam, and organic smoothies. Locals, on the other hand, can hang around to enjoy the brand’s wine cellar and frozen margaritas on the expansive patio.
