Gouda, Apple & Prosciutto Crostini with candied walnuts, honey & balsamic 😍 (Recipe below 👇) #RothPartner

This is such an easy, crowd-pleasing holiday appetizer! It’s made with olive oil-toasted baguette slices, RothCheese Original Gouda, honeycrisp apple slices wrapped in prosciutto, candied walnuts for some crunch, pomegranate arils, and a drizzle of honey and balsamic glaze to finish it off! A little sprig of rosemary is totally optional for garnish.

You get a little bit of everything in one bite and they’re so easy to assemble!

If (like us) you’re going to be doing a lot of entertaining this holiday season, Roth Cheese is your go-to for the best Wisconsin-made cheese (made with milk from local farms!). We love that each cheese comes packaged with different pairing & serving ideas 🧀

You can find RothCheese Gouda & a variety of their cheese in the deli section at your local grocery store! #ReachForRoth #RothCheese

Ingredients:

1 baguette (~20 slices of baguette)
Olive oil and salt to taste
1 6 oz RothCheese Gouda, cut into 20 slices
2 apples, cut into 20 slices
10 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
Candied walnuts (5 minute recipe pinned in the comments)
Optional: pomegranate arils
Honey
Balsamic glaze
Optional: rosemary or thyme for garnish

Preheat oven to 400˚F.

Brush each baguette slice in olive oil and season with salt to taste. Bake for 5-7 minutes, then flip each slice over and bake for another 4-5 minutes, until golden brown on both sides.

Top each crostini with gouda slices and an apple slice wrapped in prosciutto. Top with a sprinkle of candied walnuts and pomegranate. Drizzle with honey and balsamic glaze just before serving and (optional) finish with a small sprig of rosemary for garnish. Enjoy!

MAKE AHEAD: You can bake the crostini ahead of time, and slice the cheese/prepare the prosciutto-wrapped apples so you can assemble them quickly just before serving!
