🗣️ "I'm going to make you love me."

The queen of making an impact off the bench, Rachel has gained a reputation for being an experienced head who scores big goals.

“I just have every intention to just give everything for the team when I cross that white line. For me, it doesn’t make a difference whether you start, as long as when you come on, you have an impact.

“For me, last year and this year, that’s paying off. I think I’ve been nicknamed like ‘The Female Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’ as well? I’ll take that! I’ll take super-sub any day!”

As an experienced Red, the 36-year-old still wants to perform at the highest level for United. When she signed for the club in 2022, the reception from some supporters only spurred her on to prove them wrong.

That same drive is still present in Rachel’s mind now, as she continues to defy the odds.

“[After I signed], I thought, ‘Right, I’m gonna make you love me’,” she said.

“I remember at the end of that first season, I got the biggest roar when I went on the pitch. I thought, ‘my job is done.’”

“I just keep wanting to prove to myself, so with how well everyone has said I’ve done, you kind of always want to be better than your last year.

“If I don’t grow and move, everyone will catch me up and then I’ll struggle in games. So I think what keeps me motivated is everyone else chasing me.

“I just get to do what I love doing and that's playing football."
