Our 'Terminator' 🦾

Elisabeth Terland had to overcome adversity on her way to the top, with girls not having bespoke teams in her homeland.

“I started playing football in Norway. I started playing there with the boys until I was 15," she said.

“Playing in Norway was really good because I played at the highest level and when I moved to England, I just fell in love with the league.

“I would say my family have always been there and always coming. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them.”

United Women manager Marc Skinner likens Teri to a famous film character, made famous from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s portrayal of him.

“If you look at the way the Terminator would see in the movie, and it is like you're narrowing down the angle - that's how I see Lizzie's brain working because she's so ruthless in those moments," he said.

"It was her attitude when I spoke to her, it was all about she wants to win. She wants to push herself. She's hungry for success. Not only as a person but, obviously, as a team."
