Toronto offers many great attractions, but hiking through a canyon isn’t one of them. Fortunately, Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, located just over an hour's drive from the city, offers a stunning canyon experience. ⛰️

📍 795086 3rd Line EHS, Shelburne, ON

The park, part of the Niagara Escarpment Parks System, is open year-round and features eight hiking trails ranging from 600 meters to nearly 5 kilometers. For those seeking canyon views, the 1.3 km Spillway Trail is a must. It takes you along a boardwalk that winds through a canyon surrounded by towering rock formations. 🪨

For a longer hike, the 2.8 km Cliff-Top Side Trail leads past 30-meter cliffs. After your hike, visit the Lookout Trail for a short 600-meter walk to a scenic spot perfect for watching the sunset. 🌄

Keep in mind that if you’re visiting the park for the day, you’ll need to pay a day use/vehicle fee, which costs $12.25 per car. 🚗

If you're hungry afterward, Shelburne offers several great dining options, including The Tipsy Fox, Beyond The Gate, and The Duffy. 🍽️

Happy hiking! 🥾
