As someone living with type 1 diabetes, World Diabetes Day is a special day for me. When I saw the Blue Balloon Campaign by medtronicdiabeteseu, I knew I wanted to be part of it to help raise awareness. The idea of the blue balloon symbolizing diabetes is very relatable – it is something you carry around with you every day, even as a professional athlete. Now, I’m committed to doing more to help people understand what it’s like to live with T1D so we can eliminate the misconceptions about it. I encourage you to bounce your balloon with pride because it’s what makes all of us stronger!
