Snowshoeing is an accessible and easy way for you to get outside in the winter. With both snowshoe-specific trails and shared Nordic trails, you won’t have any shortage of solitude, and if you are looking for something more social don’t hesitate to bring a friend! Snowshoeing is something people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.
 
 
Stop by the Frontier Point Nordic Lodge to purchase a trail pass, rent snowshoes, and grab a trail map before you’re on your way!
 
 
Proper Snowshoe Etiquette
-  Stay to the outside of ski trails
-  Do not walk in the groomed ski tracks
-  Travel single file
-  No dogs allowed on the trail system
-  Yield to skiers
-  Snowshoe within ski area boundaries
 
What to pack and wear to be properly prepared for your snowshoeing adventure
-  Athletic pants that are made for winter weather
-  Sweat wicking shirt to help keep moisture away from body
-  Jacket and an extra layer for change in temperature and weather
-  Sunglasses, hat or ear cover, pair of gloves and scarf
-  Warm, comfortable winter boots to walk in
-  Properly fitted snowshoes and walking poles
-  Map of the trails that you will be using
-  Water to stay hydrated, as well as snacks to fuel yourself.
