The Z4 is part of a long line of open-air models from #BMW, one that stretches back to the pre-war 328 and includes such highlights as the 507, Z1, and Z8.

The $3500 Handschalter package on the new Z4 is only available with the Z40i which has the larger turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine. In addition to the six-speeder, it brings retuned steering and adaptive damper settings, stiffer front anti-roll bars, and staggered wheels, with 19-inch-diameter rims up front and 20 inches at the rear.
