## Caption

SWEET POTATO LATKES for some latke ✨variety✨ at your Chanukah celebrations🔥 

YOU’LL NEED:
- 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1lb worth)
- 1 onion
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp garlic powder (about)
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil for frying

TO MAKE:
1. Peel and grate sweet potatoes and onion
2. In a large bowl, combine grated sweet potatoes, onion, eggs, flour, baking soda, salt, pepper and garlic powder
3. Heat up about 1/4 inch thick of oil in a frying pan
4. Take a spoon and scoop latke batter into hot oil and flatten with a spatula 
5. When edges of the latke are a dark golden color (about 5 min), flip and cook other side (another 3-5 min)
6. Take cooked latkes, place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil, and hit them with some extra salt
7. Serve while hot with a side of sour cream or apple sauce😋
