aceburpee Top 100 Most Fascinating Manitoban’s For 2022 > I woke on the morning of Christmas Eve to my wife and other friends congratulating me on making this list. I was like “Yaaaaah riiiiight.” I’m pretty surprised and not quite sure how I made it on here, but nonetheless, I’m honoured and grateful to be alongside these other actually fascinating, people who have done a lot of significant things. Regardless, thank you so much aceburpee for including me and appreciating what I do. You should include yourself on this list every year bro. Hopefully this is just the start of my journey to help our communities growth. So proud to represent not only the Filipino communities but the BIPOC community at large and anyone hustling for the greater good. Thanks for all the support y’all!

Congrats also to marcgomez! We did it. Lol. Marc was a big part of why I even had the opportunity to design the The Jets Filipino Heritage logo. I remember thinking when I was first asked to help, “Why am I even here when you have a Filipino design in the crew?” Lol. Either way I’m grateful and I’m glad he’s part of my journey and getting to shine the way he deserves too. As designers we are use to working in the background and in silence, so these spotlights are something at least I’m just getting use to. Thanks again Marc. Salamat kapatid! 🙏🏾

Also big shout out to my buddy and colleague Shaun Vincent owner of vincentdesignca for making the cut as well. We both went to RRC together and it’s been fun to see another design brother thrive in this profession. 

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all the others that were included in the list. But also there’s alot of unsung heroes in our community that do amazing things and don’t get the recognition. I personally know people that contribute much more than myself and are way more selfless. These people have been a huge part of my inspiration and growth. Simple things to help better our world are still steps forward and everyone has gifts and should use them to make this place better!
