Looking back on #ATIA2025 ⏮️

🥳 We’re excited to share photos from our presentation, “Turn Right: The Intersection of AAC and Self-Advocacy,” featuring our team members Melanie Derry from VCU ACE, Meghan Hyatt, Lauren Whitlock from VCU T/TAC, and Lorna Bell Frizzelle from JMU TTAC.

🚀In this session, we explored how to blend self-determination theories with the 4 Ps of AAC to empower users on their journey to becoming more self-determined communicators. The tools and practices developed by imd_vdoe were a big hit with the audience— they couldn’t believe they were FREE! 🤩
