The star sophomore’s season has come to an abrupt end after suffering a torn ACL in Monday night’s dominant 96-59 win over Mississippi State in the second round of the NCAA tournament, per shams. 🥺⁣

Watkins went down in the first quarter after colliding with two Bulldogs players on a fast break. She immediately grabbed at her right knee in visible pain and had to be carried off the court. 🫣⁣

Later in the game, ESPN’s Holly Rowe reported that Watkins had been wheeled out of the arena for an MRI, which confirmed the worst—her season is officially over. 😢⁣
