Discovered just last year, this comet first appeared on September 29 in the Southern Hemisphere and returned last week, putting on an even brighter display in the night sky. 💫 

ATLAS is often called a “dirty snowball”, made of dust, ice, and rocky particles and follows a long, elliptical orbit around the sun. Its last journey through our skies? Back when Neanderthals walked the Earth! 🌍 It’s earned the title of “comet of the century” due to its brightness and visibility, making this a rare celestial treat.
