## Caption

Fireworks are being set off from Prince's Island Park tonight at midnight. They're launched from the west end of the park and they will have an area closed off for safety in the vicinity of that, so you won't be able to get too close. 

You'll be able to see them from pretty much any place surrounding it, such as in the blue areas I've marked. Most people will be heading to the Crescent Heights hill that overlooks downtown. It'll be paaaaacked up there. The City has made the road that stretches along the hill a no stopping zone and they'll have staff out there to coordinate that. 

• Starting at 8pm at Prince's Island Park they'll be doing family entertainment. Music, entertainers, fire pits, food trucks.

• At 9pm there will be an ice skating DJ dance party at the Eau Claire lagoon (right end of the island). Bring your own skates, you will not be able to rent any. 

• Memorial Drive will be closed to all traffic between 10th street and 4th street from 7pm - 2am. 

• Free parking will be available along Memorial Drive (marked in pink) between 10pm - 1am. 

• The Peace Bridge will be quite packed with people trying to see the fireworks but also taking a million selfies, might be good to avoid that 😛

• The City will be live streaming the fireworks on YouTube, which you can find at: bit.ly/nyeyyc24 (begins at 11:55pm)

• The fireworks will be synchronized to Canadian music on CJSW radio - find them at 90.9 FM, cjsw.ca or download the CJSW app from the app stores.

• Calgary Transit is free for everyone for the entire night. C-trains will be running until 4am.

• If you take the c-train downtown, get off at 3rd street station or 4th street station and walk North, towards the river. Easy to access everything. 

• Bus routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 22, 301, 302, and MAX Orange, MAX Yellow, MAX Teal and MAX Purple will run until 3am.
