Alligatorweed, annual bluegrass, liverwort, moneywort, moss, pearlwort, rushes, sedges prefer moist soil. 

Annual lespedeza, birdsfoot trefoil, black medic, goosegrass, bracted plantain, prostrate knotweed, spotted spurge, and yellow woodsorrel prefer dry soil.
