Couldn't resist the urge to rake your lawn? Don't let those leaves go to waste.

Pile leaves in your garden bed, sprinkle a layer of #wormcastings to give the soil a microbe boost, and cover with black plastic or a tarp that will hold up to the weather. 

No leaves? No problem! Ask a neighbor, or find out where your town's leaves and yard waste go! 

The town of Rutherfordton has a yard debris pick-up service and the mulched leaves are available free to the public. Call the town at 828-287-3520 for more information.
