Please join us in congratulating Judge Philip P. Mariani L'08 on his appointment to the Michigan Court of Appeals! 

Previously, Philip served as a deputy legal counsel in the Executive Office of Governor Whitmer. Prior to joining the Governor’s office, Philip practiced as an appellate attorney with Mark Granzotto, P.C., clerked for the Hon. Bridget M. McCormack of the Michigan Supreme Court, and taught a course at Wayne State University Law School focused on judicial writing, ethics, and decision-making. He also previously worked as a litigator with Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller and as a federal judicial clerk for the Hon. Anthony J. Scirica of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Hon. Michael M. Baylson of U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Hon. David R. Grand of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
