#TSRUpdatez: As previously reported, #Boosie announced his plans to honor the late Southern University student #CalebWilson by launching a memorial scholarship in his name. He also announced that some of the proceeds from his Boosie Bash concert would go toward the scholarship.

However, Louisiana Attorney General #LizMurrill is now threatening to take legal action against Boosie for using Caleb’s name while promoting the event.

According to wbrz, AG Murrill said Caleb’s parents were unaware that his name was being used for promotion, and they plan to take legal action. Murrill acknowledges that there was a discussion that Boosie wanted to contribute and start a scholarship fund at Southern University, but the discussion did not include his Boosie Bash event.

Murrill said Caleb’s parents “did not know the event was happening” and “have requested that his name, image, and any reference to a scholarship for him be removed from all promotional materials.”

She also said, “All of this apparently came together in a very short order, and I think the promoters saw an opportunity to promote the event on the backs of people who just suffered an unimaginable loss. It is just disgusting, they owe the family an apology. If they wanted to do this, the first people they should have asked was the family.
