So Dragon Age Veilguard turned out to be a pretty solid and fun action RPG, eh? Maybe with a little less emphasis on the RPG part than I would like (so far, anyway), but still… It’s pretty good! Unfortunately, I haven’t progressed too far in the story because of map marker hunting and never-ending side quests, but I’m having a good time. And so, to celebrate that, and to sate the fact that my romance with him hasn’t progressed much due to my being a magpie and endless grinding (which reads worse than intendd), here’s an Emmrich Volkarin ASMR roleplay to help you relax into the depths of the Nevarran Grand Necropolis. It was going to be a mummification roleplay, but I figured that perhaps a lesson in the basics of necromancy might be more fun.

Anyway, the roleplay consists of a characteristically kind and jolly introduction to necromancy with a soft-spoken and whispered British accent before moving onto to initiate breathing exercises, wisp summoning, and death siphoning (reiki-style energy plucking), before finishing the lesson and sending you to sleep. The lesson roleplay came out a little longer than I expected, but I hope that it’s relaxing and that you enjoy it!

Oh, and I tried my best with the Emmrich cosplay – I started working on it before release of the game, so source material was limited, but I think it came together overall and made the lot of it pretty much from scratch (except for the basis of the jacket).

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
