I know Halloween is over and in the UK we’re now all preparing for Gunpowder Day (we, arguably, celebrate that more than Halloween here – especially on the South Coast, these bizarre Southerners like fire way too much), but I guess I’m extending Spooky Season to encompass some of November too. I hope that’s okay! I’ll intersperse it with some normal ASMR roleplays if it gets a bit too much, so don’t worry…

But yes, it’s an ‘Interview with The Vampire’ ASMR roleplay. Specifically, a ‘The Vampire Lestat Feeds on You’ type deal, complete with all the trappings of a vampiric power imbalance, indifferent seduction, lots of eye contact, and the inevitable biting that you’d expect. With that in mind, please do take the opening disclaimer seriously – especially regarding the flashing lights! But, you know the character, you know vampires, so you know roughly what you’re gonna get. And you’re also gonna get a French accent that veers into German quite frequently. 

That said, my Lestat is a bit less Sam Reid and more ‘90s me, which is when I read The Vampire Lestat. Over 25 years ago in fact MY GOD. We all loved the film back in 1994 (MY GOD) and I feel that the new series has captured some of that fascination with those two troubled and toxic lovers, Louis and Lestat. And so, I hope you equally enjoy this little vampire roleplay!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. 📽 What is FPC? 🎞

FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
