A long time ago I vowed never to attempt a Scottish accent; because a good one is difficult to do. I always end up going Welsh, English, or sometimes even Russian. But, I decided to break that oath cast under a crimson moon (mun) and give it a go for this ASMR roleplay. It’s a soft Scot, maybe of English descent living in Edinburgh or something, y’know, but I hope it at least does the trick. And, to be honest, the accent is pretty chill!

Disclaimer aside, this ASMR video is – in essence a massive promotion for the amazing chair that FlexiSpot sent me – a marketing meeting with your boss, the chairman of the board. Or is it? Well, it is, but this boring meeting that is basically a capitalism ASMR roleplay about advertising, copywriting, and how to sell stuff is hopefully lackadaisical enough to lull you into a relaxing repose and help you rest responsibly while avoiding capital gains. 🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧

ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses – even just for a bit.

📽 What is FPC? 🎞

FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
