16:30 -  Sharon Paz - A conversation with John Blue (*they, them) - Live performance with Clare Wigfall and Sylvia Schwarz. Live music by Massimiliano Achenza.

Sharon Paz’s new installation comes to life, a journey In between the physical home and the digital space. A live dialog with John Blue investigates the world of screen addiction, consumption and augmented reality. The performance creates an intimate confessional space between an AI, the audience and the actors. The audience is welcomed to join the conversation as John Blue walks the line between what is real and what is artificial.

18:00 - Rafael Ibarra,  A journey inward - Live performance

This performative sculpture is part of my artistic journey in search for intense corporal experiences. This urge to feel, to be here and now is a a attempt to get connected, an attempt to, beyond words, feel that this moment is all we have. In a world full of detachment and digital alienation the physical world appears to me as the only chance to grasp some certainty. Inward journey addresses specifically the possibility to give emotions a body of their own. The ritual character of the piece is meant to affect the subconscious mind and allow a catharsis capable of embodying feelings and beliefs that we carry around "as a heavy stone". I beleive that sometimes it is necessary to feel and face negative emotions in order to say good bye to them.

The exhibition presents a multi-perspective view by Olaf Nicolai, Sharon Paz, Rafael Ibarra and Maya Schweizer. The project series "Travels in the City"  is supported by the Stiftung Kunstfonds and NEUSTART KULTUR.
