🌟 Alumnae Spotlight 🌟

Meet Lindsay Poulos, a proud graduate in 2023! Lindsay concentrated in Psychology with a secondary in Sociology while calling Cabot House her home during her time at Harvard. Outside of softball, she was an active member of the Harvard community, contributing to Y2Y Homeless Shelter, the Harvard Youth Mental Health Lab, and the Harvard Ed Portal.

Currently, Lindsay is in her second and final year of a Master’s program in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. She serves as an intern therapist at VitalCare Corporation and is a member of Professor Roncoroni’s Health Disparities Lab. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Lindsay is also a team member of a nonprofit called Cocina Libre, which works with immigrants in Denver.

Reflecting on her time with Harvard Softball, Lindsay emphasizes the lifelong friendships and invaluable skills she gained from being part of a competitive team at such a high academic institution. “Harvard Softball taught me how to manage my time, organize my tasks, and communicate effectively with professors, coaches, and peers,” she shares, adding that these skills have been crucial to her success in graduate school.

Among her favorite memories are the impromptu singing in the locker room, dugout, and vans. She has so many memories of laughing with my teammates and coaches. One moment in particular, Lindsay felt immense gratitude for her teammates showing up to support her and her Y2Y team.

Lindsay’s advice for current Harvard Softball players is simple yet impactful: “Use your resources, and if you need something you don’t have, ask! Being a student-athlete at Harvard is an amazing opportunity, but things can get overwhelming or stressful. You have an amazing coaching staff and teammates who would do anything in their power to support you, use it!”
