🌎 DEKA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DAY 2 🌎

DEKA STRONG:
I came into this race extremely focused on one thing, standing on top of the podium. Prior to starting I was repeating "hit your paces, transition well, and no one will beat you." With Kevin (bubblestheclowne) in my ear the whole way telling me to run my race, I did just that. I felt very smooth and in control all the way though until the dBall Overs. I struggled to maintain my rhythm and lost a little ground after getting off the bike with a 8-10s lead. I made my move on the tank and created enough separation to get a 6 burpee lead. From there, I held a good cadence and crossed the finish line with a new PR and the title of World Champion. I was fired up after battling hard yesterday and coming up a little short. 

DEKA MILE: 
The gap between the STRONG & MILE felt like an eternity. feul, stretch, feul, stretch, treatment, and getting my aching body ready to rumble one more time. I was hurting after max efforts in the fit and strong. Enter the pain cave. For this race I wanted to get a sizeable lead early and hold my paces so I didn't have to sell out on zones 7-10 for the third time. I executed that perfectly. After zone 4, I created a full run separation and maintained from there. Still hitting my splits and hammering though until the burpees. After my final RAM burpee of the weekend, I fist bumped jessica_lynn107 and crossed the finish line with another PR and another win. 🤜🏼🤛🏼 I gave my mom the biggest hug and felt such relief that I was able to achieve all of my weekends goals. 

Again, a tremendous thank you to everyone who cheered me on and motivated me all weekend. The kindness and congratulations were overwhelming. Thank you. 🫶🏼
