No matter how many bumps in the road & how far you feel just stay steady & believe you will get there! 

 One year ago…I was standing on a Speed Bump outside my apartment wearing my graduation 👨🏻‍🎓gown because it was my last day of Brooks TBI Therapy 🧠 . 

I was standing on a speed bump because that’s what I felt I got hit with every day at therapy. As my mind grew so did the challenges. As soon as I gained momentum I was being challenged harder & it was exhausting. 

I remember telling my Therapist one day I feel like I am just getting hit by speed bump after speed bump & she said….. “In fact you are Chris you just got to embrace and keep moving forward!”

My attitude shifted that day & when I saw a speed bump I looked at it as an opportunity! As something that was going to get me closer to where I wanted to be! #BacktoRealLife

The mindset shift worked!
Instead of being in therapy for 12 weeks I got out in 8! The earliest they would let me. 

So here I am now one year sitting at my desk & seeing this photo popped up in 1 year memories so I had to share because the speed bumps never go away. Not for anyone. 

One thing that sits on my desk  is a picture of the speed bumps that my therapist printed out for me on my graduation day 🥲 

A daily reminder that the speed bumps of life aren’t going to stop you! Just #SteadyOn & you will get to where you want to be. 

👨🏻‍🎓 Fun Fact: I bought a graduation gown because of course I love getting the spotlight & I was pumped that it was my day🥳. 

But after my graduation moment I passed it on to my buddy I met from school who was graduating the next week. 

And now it is a tradition at Brooks that anyone who graduates now gets passed the gown!
