In 2014, I asked my Tanya and Legend if they wanted to go to the fair. They both said emphatically said “Yes”. So we got dressed up and went to the fair. I told Tanya to make sure she packed up the motel we were staying in because the night before was our last night in the extended stay. Safe packed up Legend in his car seat and then she and I loaded the rest of our trash bags in the trunk. Our clothes were in them. We didn’t have suitcases at the time. We were just surviving.

The Fairground Stroll
The picture you see is us walking in an abandoned fair ground. I thought it was active but it wasn’t 😂. So we just walked holding each other. Tanya had a camera and wanted to take a photo of us walking. She thought it was beautiful and it was.

Local Diner
Having  lunch at a local diner. I took a photo of her and Legend being their normal happy selves but she snuck a picture of me writing about where we were gonna sleep.

Father/Son Moment 
Tanya captured of Legend asking me what’s wrong. He was so concerned. After spending several hours I realized that all roads would lead to moving once again to another state.

Eventually we’d load up Rocket you see Tanya buckling little Legend in his car seat and we’d be taking a trip for the next few months. Touring and still trying to make it until we’d land in Albion, MI.

The Journey begins in Albion, MI
The song Dock of The Bay was playing in my head that morning so I took my son out to the spot in Albion and we sat. He played and I thought. Some good thoughts do not so good thoughts but we were together. That’s the pic you’re seeing there. Legend is so cute 😂.

Staying in Love through it all Lastly after all that thinking and praying and hoping and wishing at the end of the day as long as this woman was kissing me I knew we would be alright.
