Color Of Change’s #WinningJustice campaign is creating real change, making local prosecutors accountable to the people they are supposed to serve. After participating in a series of meetings with the Alameda County DA Accountability Table, of which Color Of Change is a member, the DA’s office has launched a dashboard allowing citizens access to information about the prosecution of criminal cases.

This is a valuable step forward in ending the secrecy, one of our 6 demands for prosecutors to help end mass incarceration and police violence. Prosecutors play a major role in changing outcomes in the legal system, and we’re pushing them to reform their practices so that Black communities don’t suffer more harm. Color Of Change celebrates this victory in Alameda County and will continue to fight for a transparent, equitable, and fair justice system across the country.
