Before Inauguration Day, we’re building our “mobilization toolkit” with strategies for staying engaged in social justice, regardless of the outcome of the election. Yesterday, we highlighted watchdog organizations that monitor the actions of government entities on behalf of the public. Today we’re focusing on smaller elections that come up in between presidential elections.

For today: VOTE IN ALL ELECTIONS. Between presidential elections, there are local and midterm elections that we can use to make a difference. These elections allow us to affect Congress and local leadership, which affect our day to day lives and actions happening in D.C. By exercising our right to vote in all elections, we can set the agenda for national decisions and decisions in our own neighborhoods.

Local and midterm elections give us the opportunity to put leaders into power who align with our values and will stand up for us, both in the Capitol and our backyards. COC is dedicated to using our vote whenever possible, and we hope you will join us as we #CommitToJustice in 2025 and beyond. Become a member of our movement by clicking the link in our bio.
