This week, we are preparing for Inauguration Day by building our “mobilization toolkit:” a list of strategies to remain engaged during the upcoming presidential administration. Yesterday was all about staying informed on national and local news. By keeping track of what’s happening in the news cycle, we can keep up with our leaders’ promises and actions.

For today: ENGAGE WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT. Staying informed works best when we combine it with making our voices heard. Attending city council meetings and town halls to make requests, joining local committees, and getting involved with your community can make a difference.

Local leadership has local impact, often in ways that are more directly felt than national leadership. We can hold our leaders accountable by addressing them directly and challenging them to represent us how we want them to. Join us as we #CommitToJustice this year by following us on social media and clicking the link in our bio to get involved.
