Color Of Change is committed to empowering our communities to lean into their power and hold government and corporate decision-makers accountable for their harmful policies and actions — like attacking Black history and literature in public schools.

Thanks to the support and action of members like YOU, our list of victories to #DefendBlackHistory is growing. Together, we’ve been able to:
✅ Organize book drives for Black children in states where Black history is banned.
✅ Collect thousands of signatures demanding mheducation resist efforts to whitewash Black history.
✅ Help oust College Board Vice President Todd Huston, who advances anti-Black history legislation in Indiana.
✅ Hold Children’s Carnivals for Black educators to discuss racial justice strategies.
✅ Get Scholastic to remove the option for schools to exclude Black and LGBTQ+ authors at book fairs.

Help us continue the fight for justice and preserve Black history in our schools! Donate to COC today at the link in our bio. 🔗
