On this International Chess Day, I had the pleasure of gifting signed chess boards to the remarkable young chess players who triumphed in the state-level chess tournaments

Chess is more than a game. it’s a journey of endless possibilities, learning, and self-discovery. At seven, I moved to Manila and found myself immersed in a vibrant chess culture, thanks to my mother's encouragement. Despite initial challenges, I soon participated in weekend tournaments. Each game, whether a win or a loss, taught me perseverance, the importance of studying past games, and continuous learning. Remember, every great player starts as a beginner.
