New to YWF?! Nice to meet you, but where the heck have you been?!✨

Quick intro- I am Julie, mom of 4 wild little Friedmans, and have been rolling in the dough since 2015! 😜 My oldest daughter was diagnosed with an array of speech disorders, coupled with severe anxiety when she was 3 and her doctor recommended that I incorporate sensory play into her daily routine. 

I started making homemade, scented play dough for her and paired it with cupcake liners, candles, and cookie cutters so she could make and decorate cookies and cupcakes!🧁She LOVED it, and spent hours with that simple kit. At the time I had an Instagram called “Young, Wild & Friedman” that I used to share simple sensory play ideas for other moms, never thinking it would ever turn into a business! (TBH I probably would have chosen a different name if I knew it was going to! lol!!) 

Anyways, over time people started asking if I would sell the kits that I was making for my daughter- and at first I was just like hey here’s my play dough recipe, make one yourself!! Ha! But I quickly found out that busy mamas don’t want to be schlepping in the kitchen making homemade play dough and scouring Hobby Lobby for themed items!😂

SO, in 2017 I started selling kits, first by the 10s, then the 20s, and very quickly into the 100s! I used the money I made on the first 10 kits to buy supplies for the next 20 and so forth!! Fast forward to 2024… 5 warehouse upgrades and 40+ employees later we’re running a pretty well oiled machine- pumping out sensory dough like it’s our job (bc it is!)
