Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Today from #KenCenArchives, we’re spotlighting Ireland 100—a three-week festival celebrating Irish culture at the Kennedy Center in 2016. 🍀

The festival, marking 100 years since the Easter Rising in 1916, included music, dance, theater, film, and culinary arts events featuring incredible Irish artists and performers.

1️⃣ Gay McKeon, Emmett Gill, and Amy Campbell play the Uilleann pipes with Catherine McGorman on the Irish flute 
2️⃣ Fiona Shaw does a theatrical reading of acclaimed Irish poetry and literature in “Blowing the Heart Open”
3️⃣ A musical performance by Camerata Ireland, Codetta, and the Harmony North Choir under the direction of Irish composer and pianist Barry Douglas
4️⃣ Visitors enjoy Irish food and beverages on the Kennedy Center North Plaza
