Join Rodney Hamilton of The Ballet Hispánico School for a master class at the ICONS Dance Festival on April 5th!⁠

Rodney Hamilton, a St. Louis native, trained at various schools including Carr Lane V.P.A. and the Center of Contemporary Arts, and studied with Katherine Dunham. After earning a BFA in Dance from Juilliard, he became a principal dancer and assistant rehearsal director at Ballet Hispánico for 10 years. He performed works by numerous renowned choreographers and toured nationally with Hello Dolly. Hamilton also worked with the Broadway Tarzan cast and choreographed productions like Footloose and Memphis in Florida. He became the Associate Choreographer for Evita at New York’s City Center in 2019 and holds an MFA in Dance from NYU Tisch. He has taught ballet, modern, and Dunham technique worldwide.⁠

Master classes will be taught by Artistic Director of the Joffrey Concert Group Bradley Shelver, Dante Puleio of the Limón Dance Company, and Rodney Hamilton of The Ballet Hispánico School. These master classes will provide young dancers with the opportunity to experience unique dance approaches, techniques and styles that would define these renowned companies in the dance world.⁠

The ICONS Dance Festival includes an evening of performances on April 4th and April 5th where the Joffrey Concert Group will share the stage with Limón2 limondance and BHDos ballethispanicoschool .⁠
