Let's take a closer look below the surface of our air intake system for the VB WRX 🔍 The focused design of the AMS Performance 2022+ Subaru WRX Air Intake is what makes it one of the highest power-producing FA24 intake systems on the market. Our Snailworks engineering team knows that excessive under hood temps can be a huge power robber, which is why we designed the optional airbox and duct upgrade to keep out blistering engine bay heat, ensuring that your engine is receiving the coldest air possible. We then improved airflow to the turbocharger by enlarging and perfectly matching the inner diameter of each section for reduced air turbulence and restriction, all of which translates into more horsepower and torque 📈

The Snailworks team conducted rigorous flowbench testing on our VB WRX intake to see how it compared with the OEM intake system 👨‍🔬 The testing process involved removing and preparing both intake systems for evaluation on our state-of-the-art MAF-based flowbench system, where airflow rates were meticulously measured under controlled conditions. Utilizing a MoTeC dash and datalogger, we simulated real-world conditions and found that the OEM intake exhibited 1.8 psi of depression at 290 whp, while the AMS intake significantly improved flow rates, reaching nearly 400 whp at only 0.90 psi of depression. Further analysis showed the AMS intake could flow approximately 530 whp compared to the OEM’s 290 whp at the same pressure drop. These results highlight the AMS intake’s superior performance, demonstrating its ability to enhance the FA24 engine’s efficiency and overall airflow, reflecting our commitment to innovative automotive solutions 🏁
